www.clinicaesperanza.com facebook on.fb.me It started in one woman’s kitchen. Now, Nurse Peggy’s dream has grown into a 4500-sq-ft clinic on Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras. Clinica Esperanza has become the primary medical provider for hundreds of island families and tourists. “I traveled from Brooklyn, NY to the Caribbean fro a trip with with my father, who is a ship doctor for Carnival Cruise line. When we arrived to Isla Roatan, Honduras we were met by Peggy Stranges founder of Clinica Esperanza, the islands largest clinic. Through my father’s relationship with Carnival they started a program with the cruise line that would see the donation of over 7000 mattresses and other items to the people of the island. Thank you Carnival Cruise Line for your continued support of the island! Peggy is addressing a need to provide medical care for a poor island population and to tourists. Clinica Esperanza which is more well equipped than the official hospital, is run by charitable contributions and by the work of volunteer doctors and other workers.
